Enjoyed a very lovely business meal at Sake No Hana located downstairs at the Moxy hotel in Lower East Side of Manhattan. Arrived early and was greeted very warmly and seated immediately. The vibe was zen with a dash of grown and sexy. My server Rasheed was fantastic and made wonderful recommendations throughout the evening. The server was truly wonderful; Thank you! I highly recommend trying out this fabulous Asian Fusion modern take on Japanese cuisine. Indulged in the Chef's menu which was served tapas style which I enjoyed trying a little bit of everything they offer on the menu; list of food items: TSUKIJI MARKET SWEET POTATO CHIPS 8 white miso mayonnaise BLACK SUGAR ALMONDS - yummy crunch between bites SMASHED 'MITSUKOSHI' CUCUMBER SALAD - Deliciously fresh and crunchy as a great palette cleanser CHILI CRUNCH EDAMAME SUGAR SNAP PEAS VEGETABLES and CHICKEN ROBATA GREEN VEGETABLE YAKIMESHI edamame, shiso BLACK SEA BASS - delicious with a ginger miso broth served with eggplant

This place is located in the Moxi. They have bites but we came for a night cap of drinks. The bar area is fairly large with plenty of seating and cute photo ops in a bird cage are available. The bartenders were quick, attentive. They did a mean espresso martini and aperol. They have a pretty large libation menu. Drinks were $21-$23 each.

I decided to give it 4 stars based on our server Karma. She was so sweet and all smiles. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was good but not amazing where I will crave to go back. We decided on the restaurant week menu which was fun and allowed us to try more food.

Sake No Hana is a must-go - it certainly lived up to being a TAO Group Hospitality place. The ambiance, the bar, the stairwell... everything was beautiful and alluring. Our server was great as well. Be warned - the place is consistently packed so it's quite noisy, but that is expected. Can't wait till I can come back here!   1/2 Dozen Oysters ($24): Let me tell you, these oysters were THE freshest oysters I've had. Not sure which coast the oysters were from. Idk if their oysters are always phenomenal or if it was just a good catch that day, but definitely order the oysters! Add-on Uni to 2 Oysters ($32): I'm a big uni fan so I had to get this option. But the oysters without uni tasted better. Three Egg Chawanmushi ($29): The steamed egg was silky and overall delicious, but it wasn't one of my favorite dishes. Black Truffle Steak Tartare ($27):  Like the oysters, this was DIVINE. Undoubtedly a must-get. I loved their take on steak tartare - the milk bread and black truffle oil truly elevated this dish. Shrimp Tempura Roll ($27): Decent, but I've had better shrimp tempura sushi. Temaki Toro ($28): I love toro but this was disappointing. I think they added too much sauce, which overtook the delicacy of the toro. Shortrib Yakimeshi ($34): TBH, I only got this dish because of the bone marrow. The fried rice was decent, but not worth the price. Ginza Chicken ($37) - The chicken was very tender and cooked to perfection. Chocolate-Black Sesame Souffle ($21) - It was a decent dessert.

My family and I went to this restaurant during New York restaurant week when we came to visit. Automatically, I was in awe of the aesthetics. The atmosphere was so romantic and moody yet Oriental contemporary. Since we had to wait for a reservation, they had a cute bar lounge area where they served you why you waited for your seating, and everyone was so helpful and super attentive. When we sat for dinner, the waitress knew everything on the menu in detail, and was able to explain to us how everything was made and cooked and seasoned. We received the food very quickly. There was a lot of food on the table because everything comes out in small tapas, but I would have to say everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I will definitely come back every time I go to New York.

Food and service was great, I didn't love the public seating, it was too close together and crowded so it was very loud ! Had to shout across the table to be heard, so I ended up not speaking very much it was annoying. They had more private areas that were more inclosed feel like if I was there it might have been more enjoyable. Family style everything comes when it's ready so it's best to order a bunch of things and share. If your not comfortable with that this probably isn't the place for you or your group. We loved all the food except the noodles (everyone's least favorite)

Came here for a special day and the food did not disappoint. Made a reservation for two for a Sunday night and got seated in a cute corner. It wasn't packed, but there was a good amount of people. Their dress code is smart casual, but saw one or two people dressed down. To start off, we were greeted by our waitress who was overall very attentive throughout our entire meal. We ordered the Sweet Shrimp Tartare and sea urchin temaki, the Bluefin tuna toro tataki, the Wafu Carbonara, and the Ginza Chicken. The Sweet Shrimp Tartare and sea urchin was very good, but paying $37 for both, I would have expected a little more uni, as it was just barely a teaspoon. The Bluefin tuna toro tataki paired well with the sauce they poured. The Wafu Carbonara is a must get. We read the reviews here and had to try it for ourselves. It was delicious!!! The Ginza Chicken was decent, nothing special. The waitress had asked if we wanted anything like Edamame and we were under the impression that it was going to be on the house, but it was an additional $12; smart on her side. For dessert, we both got a cappuccino and shared the Matcha Tiramisu and Pineapple Mochi Cake. I absolutely loved the tiramisu and would get it again. The ambiance was very nice and the bathroom was clean, given that there is a washroom attendant. The bathroom is unisex, so it was weird to have a male washroom attendant right outside my stall. This is a place I would come back to try other dishes and the drinks as well.
